About Us

In August 2009, the new Adams City High School opened on the Prairie Gateway at 72nd and Quebec Parkway. Beyond the four academies, the high school also offers community college courses through its partnerships with Front Range Community College and Community College of Aurora. Students will have the opportunity to earn college credit and technical certifications.

At 293,000 square feet, the new school is the third largest original school structure in the state of Colorado. What does this mean for our students and staff? It means they are attending a school with excellent academic, athletic, and cultural facilities. From the competition size swimming pool and expansive performing arts facilities to the flexible classroom spaces, the new school's form follows its function. Our philosophy is that we cannot predict what education will look like 10 years in the future, so we built a school that is technology rich and offers flexibility of use. Teachers share collaborative workspaces, and students have wireless internet access throughout the building and in commons areas.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide each student with a diverse education in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment that promotes relevant and meaningful learning experiences, which are challenging, engaging and aligned to Colorado Content standards. We work to ensure that the students, staff, parents and community members of Adams City High School work in a collaborative partnership to help students develop the skills necessary to become independent and self sufficient citizens.
